    Warranty & Authenticity

    Last updated: September 2026

    Independent Authentication

Every timepiece we offer undergoes a rigorous, multi-point authentication inspection by an experienced specialist. We examine the case, movement, dial, hands, bracelet, clasp and serial/reference markings to confirm genuineness.

Where original box, papers and accessories are available, these are verified and described in the listing. We never sell watches we cannot authenticate with confidence.

    Condition Reports

Each watch is graded individually and supplied with a detailed condition report. This includes high-resolution photography, notes on wear, service history where known, and a clear statement of what is included with the watch.

    Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity

Every watch we sell is guaranteed authentic for life. If a timepiece purchased from Made For Time is ever proven not to be genuine by the manufacturer or an authorised brand service centre, we will refund the full purchase price.

    12-Month Mechanical Warranty

Pre-owned watches supplied without an active manufacturer warranty include a 12-Month Made For Time Mechanical Warranty, starting from the date of delivery or collection.

Where a watch still carries the balance of its original manufacturer warranty, that warranty applies first, and we will help you arrange any service through the manufacturer.

What is covered: defects in the movement, timekeeping failure and component failure arising from normal, intended use.

    What is not covered:

    • Accidental damage, impacts or drops, and cosmetic wear such as scratches or dents to the case, bracelet or crystal.
    • Water ingress or moisture damage, including where the crown has not been fully secured.
    • Damage caused by misuse, rough handling or exposure to strong magnetic fields.
    • Any opening, modification, polishing or servicing by a third party not authorised by Made For Time.

    Your Statutory Rights

Our warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your rights where goods are not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose or as described.

    Returns Inspection

Any return is subject to a full inspection to confirm the watch remains undamaged and in the condition in which it was supplied. Items showing signs of wear, damage, alteration or missing components may not qualify for a full refund.
